So you finally got your Florida Concealed Weapon License and you have your firearm you decided to carry. You learned how to use it and put some rounds down range with it, now what?
What’s the next step?
We help you get proficient in learning to draw your firearm from concealment in a dynamic environment.
Our Intro to Concealed Carry/Carry 1 course goes over the fundamentals of drawing from concealment with a close student/instructor ratio. Providing the building blocks for you to develop the skills and fundamentals to be proficient and understand technique, while being in a safe and controlled environment. This 4 hour, beginner level course is not a standing around static target shooting class. You can do that on the range on your own. We make you work the firearm from concealment, establishing fundamentals, proper indexing with explaining how and why, and put rounds on target with added stress all while gaining confidence. With the discussion of type of firearm, ccw type of holster, pros/cons, mindset and shooting under stress. There’s no need for sunblock, you don’t have to worry about rain, or care what the weather is outside as the course is conducted in our facility. You can concentrate on learning!
Handgun 1 is recommended (but not required) prior to taking the Carry 1 course.
Requirements (student to provide);
-Florida Concealed Weapons License
-Magazines (minimum of 2, or at least 3 if capacity less than 10rds or speed loader for revolver). The more mags you can fill, the more time you’ll spend shooting instead of loading.
-Ammunition (at least 300 rounds)
-Snap Caps/dummy rounds for caliber you are using (recommended but not required)
-Holster (dominant side, belt mounted, inside or outside the waistband; no Serpa style, no pocket holster or pocket clip style unless it is with a trigger guard cover, no small of the back or shoulder holster carry)
-Spare magazine holder (if running spare magazine, recommended but not required)
-Basic firearm knowledge/proficiency (firearm handling, loading, unloading)
-Must have fired at least 250rds through firearm
-AN OPEN MIND AND WILLINGNESS TO LEARN!
Be aware, we will do a lot of shooting during this class. More than you probably would in a typical range session while holstering your firearm into your concealment holster. The firearm will get hot due to the faster pace and volume of shooting during strings of fire.
**Payment of $175 per person due at sign up to reserve your slot. Maximum of 4 students for this class. Must be fully prepared day of class. Please inquire about requirements or any questions prior to the class with Ray (firstname.lastname@example.org).
