Private Lessons

$100 individual
$160 for 2 shooters

If you are brand new to shooting, or just getting back into the game, it is recommended that you participate in a private lesson. Private lessons are approximately 1.5 hours of one-on-one instruction from an NRA certified range safety officer. If you would like to utilize your personal firearm, please ensure your firearm is unloaded prior to the lesson and that your ammunition is the correct type to use (please see Range Rules and Regulations).

Targets and eye/ear protection are provided with the lesson if you do not have your own. Firearm rentals and ammunition are available but are not included in the price and will be an additional fee. Lessons are offered seven days a week (unless there is an event taking place). Lessons need to be booked in advance and require a $25 deposit (non-refundable) to secure your slot. The deposit is included with the price of the lesson and the remaining balance is paid at the time of your lesson. To reserve a time, please contact an associate at the range counter and we will be happy to make the appointment for you.

**Please note that if you are 15 minutes late, your lesson will be canceled.**

Firearm Safety Rules:

  • Treat every firearm as if it were loaded
  • Keep your finger off the trigger until ready to fire.
  • Be sure of your target and what is next to and beyond it.
  • Never point a firearm at anything you are not willing to injure, damage and/or destroy.

Lessons include:

  • Understanding the basic firearms safety rules
  • Eye dominance
  • Nomenclature/parts
  • Strong hand/weak hand
  • Stance
  • Grip
  • Sight alignment/sight picture
  • Loading/unloading
  • Trigger control

Private lessons will begin in a classroom setting that does not include live fire on the shooting range. Once your Range Safety Officer feels that you are proficient and that you understand what you learned in the classroom setting, your lesson will move to a “hands-on” live fire approach in the shooting range. They will assist you with applying the fundamentals recently acquired in the classroom and even further your understanding of the fundamentals during the live fire session.

Carry 1

So you finally got your Florida Concealed Weapon License and you have your firearm you decided to carry. You learned how to use it and put some rounds down range with it, now what?

What’s the next step?

We help you get proficient in learning to draw your firearm from concealment in a dynamic environment.

Our Intro to Concealed Carry/Carry 1 course goes over the fundamentals of drawing from concealment with a close student/instructor ratio. Providing the building blocks for you to develop the skills and fundamentals to be proficient and understand technique, while being in a safe and controlled environment. This is a dynamic 4 hour, beginner/intermediate level course and is not a standing around static, target shooting class. You can do that on the range on your own. We make you work the firearm from concealment, establishing fundamentals, proper indexing with explaining how and why, and put rounds on target with added stress all while gaining confidence. With the discussion of type of firearm, ccw type of holster, pros/cons, mindset and shooting under stress. There’s no need for sunblock, you don’t have to worry about rain, or care what the weather is outside as the course is conducted in our facility. You can concentrate on learning!
